Golden milk or haldi doodh is a powerful Ayurvedic Indian drink with medicinal properties. It’s a great immunity booster when suffering from cold, cough, sore throat, headaches, joint aches etc. It is believed that drinking Turmeric milk before sleep keeps all sickness at bay.
It is a combination of Hot milk, organic Turmeric and a pinch of organic pepper. If you like it sweet, or while giving children add a little raw honey to improve its taste. Adding tiny pieces of fresh ginger is also a great combination.
Drink this every day. Try to choose Organically grown curcumin rich Turmeric, organic pepper and wild collected raw honey for best result.
Curcumin has poor oral bioavailability so our body will not absorb any of its goodness. Unless you take curcumin (curcumin rich Turmeric)specifically to soothe your colon or improve digestion, you’ll want to make it more bioavailable, for instance by pairing it with piperine(a component of black pepper).
Ingredients:
Milk 1 cup(250 ml)
Organic Curcumin rich Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon
Raw Wild Honey 1 teaspoon
Organic Black pepper powder (a pinch)
Tiny piece or grated fresh ginger (a little)
-Heat 1 cup of milk in a saucepan on a low to medium flame.
-Simmer the milk for 2 to 3 minutes until it boils. Once the milk starts boiling, switch off the flame.
-Pour the hot milk in a mug.
-Add Organic Turmeric powder , Organic Black Pepper powder, Raw Wild Honey and ginger(optional).
-Mix well and serve hot or warm.
